The Miami Hurricanes have made a significant addition to their 2027 recruiting class by securing a commitment from Top247 safety Andre Hyppolite. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect from North Miami Beach, Florida, chose Miami over offers from prestigious programs such as Florida, Georgia, and Notre Dame. Hyppolite's decision came after a weekend visit to Miami, where he was impressed by the coaching staff, particularly defensive backs coach Will Harris and cornerbacks coach Terry Jefferson, both known for developing NFL talent. Hyppolite's recruitment had initially leaned towards Florida, but the Hurricanes shifted the narrative during his visit. As a junior, he showcased his versatility by contributing on both defense and offense, totaling five interceptions and four touchdown catches. With Hyppolite's commitment, Miami now boasts 19 total pledges in their recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 2 nationally by 247Sports. This addition strengthens the Hurricanes' defensive backfield, joining fellow Top247 safety Jaylyn Jones to form an elite duo from South Florida.
